Finding a wedding photographer in Kansas City can be one of the hardest decisions you have to make during the whole wedding planning process. Your wedding photos capture all those special moments so you can remember (and share) your love for years to come. Can you imagine not having awesome photos from that day?! A Bride’s worst nightmare, amiright?!
Luckily, you don’t have to worry about finding the right wedding photographer (or any other wedding vendor for that matter) because our Lovely Kansas City Vendor Guides will introduce you to some of our favorite local wedding vendors, teams, and creatives.
I’ve worked with so many talented creatives over the years and love to help my brides and grooms connect with the wedding vendors and teams that can best bring their visions to life. Last time we introduced you to Alysa Tarantino from Fiore Floral and this week we’re excited for you to meet Bailey from Bailey Pianalto Photography!
I’m based in Kansas City but capture weddings all over the world. I’ve photographed in the Bahamas, Alaska, Washington DC, and I will be in Pennsylvania twice in 2020!
The average investment for my couples is $2,900. Each wedding collection comes with a pre-wedding consultation, engagement session (for KC brides), onsite wedding day coverage, and a print release for the final, edited images.
Right now, I’m seeing colorful floral design re-emerge, which I love! While all-white and monochromatic color schemes can be elegant and timeless in their own right, I personally find the subtle addition of color (whether it’s from your bridesmaids’ gowns, groomsmen’s’ accessories, or floral design) to be more eye-catching. Your wedding day color palette is a great way to showcase your personal aesthetic and style. Plus, colorful blooms photograph beautifully!
I have an insatiable curiosity and enthusiasm on your wedding day (and every day)! I make a point to learn about you two as a couple – how you work together, love each other, and what you most value on your wedding day. I get to know your wedding party and keep the smiles fresh with my terrible jokes. I bob along to the music at your reception. What I’m trying to say is, I am present, alert, and interested on your wedding day! I consider it a high honor to be the one capturing heirloom images that not only you but your future family generations will cherish!
Determine your top three priorities of your day and stick to them! Maybe it’s a live band, the dress you’ve been dreaming about for ages, or timeless wedding portraits at your favorite spot in KC. Whatever the priorities, make sure those things are planned first and the rest will fall into place!
Yes I do! Second photographers are an additional set of eyes and ears on your wedding day. They help me capture the day in two places at once, cover multiple angles of the same scene, and help me work more efficiently so we can spend less time taking portraits and more time celebrating! Plus, having a second set of camera equipment on site is extra assurance that we won’t have an equipment malfunction on your once-in-a-lifetime day.
My wedding galleries are delivered to you two weeks after your wedding day!
This past summer, my husband and I had photos taken to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. Even as a professional portrait photographer, I felt awkward in front of the camera! So I promise it happens to everyone. When we’re taking more guided images on your wedding day I’ll walk you through every photo, telling you where to stand, put your hands, look, etc. And from there, I’ll have prompts to help you settle into your natural selves so even your most posed images will look like real life!
One of the things I admire most about Bailey is her passion to make sure her clients have the best wedding day possible. She is equal parts fun and driven; she is sure to make you laugh and feel at ease while staying thorough and organized, so you know she never misses those perfect shots.
I am so lucky to call Bailey not just a trusted photographer, but a friend. She is not only thoughtful to her couples, but to their friends, family and vendors. At a recent wedding together, she showed up with my favorite after-wedding late-night snack (Cheez-Its, if anyone else has a desire to swing some by!) to enjoy after the wedding was over. She won’t hesitate to go above and beyond to make sure your special day is perfect.
