Everyone has to start somewhere, amirite? My very first job? Ice Cream Wizard at the ol' Dairy Queen 🍦 I was hired two weeks before my 16th birthday and at the time, I remember thinking I was rolling in the big bucks with my whole $6ish an hour 💁🏻‍♀️

Look at me laughing as I think about it now! But you know, I’m actually not embarrassed of it at all. #1 I can still sling a perfect ice cream come with the best of them.

But #2, it set the foundation for the skills I'd need to start this little wedding planning business.

I could go on and on. As we’re nearing the end of our 2021 year, (𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨, 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘰𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘯𝘨𝘨𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳’𝘴 𝘯𝘢𝘱!) I’ve begun to feel more reflective, sentimental, and grateful. ⁣

We were so blessed with a year we never imagined, in spite of all the craziness 2020 had to offer. We had the joy to work with so many truly lovely couples. We connected with so many families we’d adopt in a heartbeat. And we left with new vendor friendships we’ll never forget. 🖤⁣

With this blessed year also came a chance for us to reflect on our processes and how to better our best. We’ll never be content to just be ‘𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥’, so y’all know we’re taking all these notes this winter and will come back next year hot and ready out the gate! ⁣
