Those first few weddings I worked— ayyyyyy, even I can admit that they were not my best. Becaus you don’t know what you don’t know. ⁣
⁣
And I? I had no clue how to be an effective wedding planner + coordinator. I fell...𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘭...straight in to this business. Wedding Planning like J.Lo was never in my sights 🤷🏻‍♀️ Yet there I was, a young and determined herpreneur, ready to make a difference!⁣

I’d like to think my enthusiasm and attention to detail made up for my lack of experience and knowledge. But let’s be honest, it was no comparison. Looking back with almost 5 years of experience, I can humbly and honestly recognize and accept the mistakes that I made. ⁣
⁣
Now when you book @whateverislovely, you’re booking a team of coordinators well established in the wedding industry. A team who knows how to— ⁣
✔️ Set a place setting⁣
✔️ Ask if you’re saving the top tier BEFORE the caterer cuts and serves it (🙄 yup, did that)⁣

Y’all, I have 𝗦𝗢. 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗬. 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦. of those first couple years. There’s some vendors I hope never recognize me as that same enthusiastic new wedding coordinator. I think back and still get embarrassed some times 😂 ⁣

I am so thankful for the couples and vendors who took a chance on new-wedding-coordinator-me. The brides looking for “a reasonable, affordable, doesn’t charge an arm-and-a-leg coordinator” who recognized that a lower dollar amount came with the flexibility for our learning and mistakes. ⁣

Thank you for our chance to do and be better. We love what we do, and y’all stuck with us now 😘

This has been such a difficult concept for me. I have let so many aspects of my health and wellness slide in an effort to better my business. All while forgetting that to better my business, I must first better myself. ⁣
⁣
Y’all know my words for this year: 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭, 𝘊𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦, 𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘥. This year I have, with intention and kindness to myself, focused on self care. This has included—⁣
⁣
☀️ Sleep. At least a full eight hours, with a full hour of zero phone before bed time. I have also set a firm ‘Do Not Disturb’ for bed time, so I have less temptation to check *and let’s be honest, answer* late night notifications. ⁣
⁣
☀️ Water. And lots of it! My goal is at minimum my body weight in ounces of water. ⁣
⁣
☀️ The Outside. I have been straight laser focused on my skin. Now that I’m officially “in my 30’s”, I have recognized that 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 > makeup. My skincare routine has increased, and my makeup routine decreased. Most days - like today! - is tinted moisturizer/spf and lip gloss. ⁣
⁣
☀️ Inside. What goes in is what comes out. I have been much more conscious of the food, ingredients and drink going in to my body. Which is why I was straight 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗗 when Rae asked for my opinion on their supplements. I have already been using their multivitamin, but I recently added their 𝘪𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 and 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘺 drops to my daily. And oh my lanta! A quick dropper in my water or coffee and I’m done. I noticed a huge difference through the winter, when I’m typically feeling at my lowest...the immunity booster helped keep me thriving. ⁣

Thank you, by the way! So many people have reached out to ask how the RV is doing in this ridiculous cold, and have offered support however needed. For real, we have the best community and I am so so thankful for y’all! ⁣

It has been an interesting winter. I don’t remember having near the amount of challenges last year as we are this year. There were some big moves made in case of a cold winter, and thank goodness! ⁣
⁣
If you’re looking to tiny home, I’d recommend doing the same to be best prepared:⁣
⁣
✔️ Purchased and filled a 500g propane tank ⁣
✔️ Heated water hoses (and even in this cold they’ve frozen, so next year I’ll know to wrap them in heated tape and insulate them better)⁣
✔️ Insulate the open bottom of the RV — has made a huge difference in how hard the heaters have had to work!⁣
✔️ Have a generator and keep gas on hand (🙏 my mistake, did not have much gas on hand and then the power went out this morning. Whoops)⁣
✔️ Keep your water tank filled! Thankfully this was done prior to the water hoses freezing. So I’m boondocking and conserving it for a bit — goodbye coffee maker and hello full sink of dirty dishes 😭⁣
