While it might seem encouraging to say “Well don’t worry about it! It’s just a bad dream!”— 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗲. Because more likely than not, there’s a *𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯* your subconscious is bringing it to light. ⁣

I’mma tell ya, this recently happened to me. Y’all know my baby brother’s wedding is just on the horizon. The other night I woke up in a cold sweat from a nightmare— glass cylinders chasing me around @pavilioneventspace saying “𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗲, 𝗦𝗲𝘆𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗿!” while the venue went up in flames behind me, all to the soundtrack of AC/DC’s Back in Black 🔥 (𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸...𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬 𝘙𝘢𝘤𝘩?!) ⁣
⁣
Normally I’d just say, “𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘪𝘳𝘥!” and get on with my snoozing. But I’m glad I put a little more thought in to the 𝘄𝗵𝘆 of this dream, because —yup, you guessed it— we hadn’t confirmed candles for one of the centerpieces 😱 ⁣

This particular tablescape’s items are being sourced from multiple vendors, and in the shuffle we’d forgotten to assign responsibility for these needed candles. What a small yet incredibly important detail to miss! ⁣

That’s where a travel planner comes in handy, imma just tell you. I am generally the first person to say, “𝗻𝗮𝗵, 𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳!” But I can’t even begin to relate the travel nightmares I’ve heard thanks to 2020, all of them without a travel planner and advocate on their team. ⁣

And let me say— it’s been quite a few years since we’ve had a sibling wedding. So even as a wedding planner with all the knowledge...I have felt so 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘮𝘦𝘥 with 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙨. You know when you are so invested in making sure the day goes perfect, you kind of lose your head? *𝘠𝘜𝘗. 𝘐𝘛 𝘔𝘌. 🐓 * ⁣

But it’s given me an updated, refreshed perspective on just 𝗵𝗼𝘄 we can best serve our couples in protecting the planning experience. I have so many resource ideas, I don’t even know where to start! ⁣
