What is Popped?

Popped is a unique bridal experience where you’ll get to see a cohesive wedding design put together by some of Kansas City’s top wedding vendors. These incredible visual presentations can help you better envision ideas for your own big day. We loved the invitation to partner with Popped for this event, as it’s a great way to focus on the connection and relationship with brides and prospective brides. Whatever Is Lovely Events can’t be found at a traditional bridal show. Instead, we love to meet and spend more focused time with you. Events like these are how we get out into the community to showcase who we are and how we can best support your special day.

What Popped is NOT

Popped is NOT a bridal expo. That would require booths, sales pitches, and writing your name a million times to enter raffles. If you’re looking for that kind of thing, Popped is not the party for you. Popped is NOT limited to one style. Are you a classic bride? Awesome, you’ll find inspo at this party! Are you a modern bride? Fantastic – there are table design concepts with your name written all over it! Are you an over-the-top-everyone-will-be-talking-about-my-wedding-until-the-end-of-time kind of bride? PERFECT. This event will push your limitless boundaries when it comes to wedding design inspiration!

What Can You Expect at Popped 2020?

You and your fiancé can enjoy a night out at one of Kansas City’s top wedding venues, The Guild. Come and mingle with featured wedding vendors, sit down for a delicious 3-course plated dinner served by Olive Events, throw back incredible cocktails from Always Welcome KC and enjoy an after party of dancing and fun – all in a no-pressure environment! Get the chance to experience style and designs from various vendors without leaving feeling overwhelmed with options and information.

What to Wear?

Come dressed for a night out! No need to plan for a formal, black-tie affair. Wear anything that’s Friday-night-date-night comfortable.

How Much Does It Cost?

The tickets are $50 but the great thing about this modern bridal event is that 90% of that will go to the Popped designated charity, Hillcrest Transitional Housing.

The Popped event takes place at The Guild on Friday, February, 28, 2020 from 7:00-10:00pm.

How is Popped Making a Difference?

Beyond providing a fun night out for engaged couples and a way for them to experience a fully styled wedding, Popped will fund special “bundles’ facilitated by COCObundle in support of Hillcrest Transitional Housing!

So, What’s a Bundle and How Does This Work?

COCObundle gives gifts of home essentials to people moving out of homelessness, fleeing domestic violence or sex trafficking, or experiencing housing instability for other reasons. Recently, they launched a wedding registry! In lieu of (or in addition to) registering for gifts for themselves, couples can register for gifts that go to people in need.

To encourage this kind of giving, COCObundle has developed #CelebrateWithImpact, a community of wedding pros interested in making a social impact. Essentially, the CWI community thanks and incentivizes couples who make the selfless choice to register on behalf of those in need.

For Popped 2020, every ticket sold will purchase the following bundle for a Hillcrest family:

+ Two washcloths

Other bundles have been hand-picked for Hillcrest and will be available for purchase online and onsite at the event.
